Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone, born on 5 January, 1986 (pronounced as [diPIkaPaduko] or [paDuko]) is an Indian acting actress in film. She is mainly seen in films that have a predominantly Hindi accent. Her accolades include the three Filmfare Awards. She is among India's top-paid actors. Time magazine also named her one of 100 influential people throughout the world in 2018. In addition, she was awarded an award called the TIME100 Impact Award for 2022. Padukone is the daughter of the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. She participated in the national championships while a teenager. She decided to quit in order to be a model. She soon began receiving offers to act in films. Her first acting role was as Aishwarya the Kannada protagonist. Padukone also played a two-part part alongside Shah Rukh Khan in her debut Bollywood release, the romance Om Shanti Om (2007) in which she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut.
