The boy had three brothers as well as two sisters from his maternal grandmother. He was the father of six half-siblings. Bennett was mostly cared for by his mother due to the frequent times his father was in prison. Bennett was just 11 when his father was shot down and killed. Bennett was just 16 when he was taken to the jail at first. This was only one of the many times he had to go against the law.
